The “ELS” Independent Research Center on the review of mass media

At the October 2 meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) was considered the issue of accreditation for local NGOs planning to conduct the “Exit – poll” during the presidential elections. Based on the decision of the CEC applications of the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan and the ELS Independent Research Center, the Independent Consulting and Assistance Center, “Rey” Monitoring Center concerning the “Exit – poll” survey were received positive reply. The information about it reflecting the decision of the CEC was presented on local mass media, information agencies, news portals, TV and Radio channels.The news about the ELS Independent Research Center and the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan was posted on the newspapers “Khalg”, “525-ci gazet”, “Olaylar”, “Ekho”, “Iki Sahil”, “Sharg”, “Khalg Jabhasi”, “Uch Nogta”, “Azerbaydjanskie izvestiya”, “Markaz”, “Paralel”, “Kaspi”, “Garbi Azerbayjanin Sesi”, “Khabar Khatti”. On each of the mentioned print media was posted information about conducting the “Exit – poll” survey in 800 polling stations by the ELS Independent Research Center and the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan. Also this process will be implemented by 1600 interviewers and supervisors that are going to be controlled by 86 coordinators. It should be emphasized that the “Exit – poll” conducted by the ELS Independent Research Center and the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan during the presidential elections will be covering all the constituencies of the country. The second stage of trainings for interviewers and supervisors that are going to conduct the “Exit – poll” is started by the ELS Independent Research Center at the moment. Besides the organization is going to conduct the “Quick – count” survey and is carrying out the necessary preparation activities.
