Azerbaijan will hold a referendum on March 18 to amend 29 Articles of the Constitution.

The Central Election Commission has registered the New Azerbaijan, City, Progress, Law and Democracy, Civil Society, For Sustainable Development, Intellect, Movement for Karabakh and Republic and Republicans initiative groups.The Prosperous Village, Free Speech, Azerbaijan People’s Republic and National Independence initiative groups were denied registration.

The Constitution was adopted in 1995. Amendments and additions were made in 2002.

Yagubova said her organization has been accredited with the Central Election Commission to conduct exit-poll.

The election headquarters of the Azerbaijani Association for Civil Society Development Assistance will monitor the vote. Association head Maharram Zulfugarli said the organization will monitor a vote in 3,000 polling station of 118 constituencies.

The exit poll results will me made public a day after the vote.
