Today the “ELS” Independent Research Center has conducted the “Exit – poll” survey on October 15, 2008 presidential elections at 800 polling stations of the country together with the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan. The voters that were leaving the polling station after voting participated on the survey. The selection of participants were made based on the step provided before. The voters were offered to fill in the questionnaires and all the necessary conditions for voters’ confidentiality were provided. The voters’ response to the survey was positive, however, the cases of refusing to give interview was only 4,8 %.Today the “ELS” Independent Research Center has conducted the “Exit – poll” survey on October 15, 2008 presidential elections at 800 polling stations of the country together with the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan. The data collected on the questionnaires during the day were transferred to the headquarter and were processed on computers. According to the results of the survey the outcomes of the survey were divided among the candidates in a following way:
1. Aghazade Igbal Fehruz – 5,0 %
2. Alibeyli Gulamhuseyn Surkhay – 3,58 %
3. Aliyev Fuad Aghasi – 1,23 %
4. Aliyev Ilham Heydar – 82,6 %
5. Hajiyev Hafiz Alemdar – 0,98 %
6. Hasanguliyev Gudrat Muzaffar – 4,21 %
7. Mustafayev Fazil Gazanfar – 2,4 %
It should be mentioned that the voters’ activity during the day was 70,6 %. The initial results of conducted survey are going to be announced on October 16, 2008 at 10:00 AM during the press conference.
